Previous Editions of the CBNA Pet Congress:

The 'International Congress and Symposium on Nutrition for Dogs and Cats "is held by the Brazilian College of Animal Nutrition - CBNA, under direction of Dr. Godfrey Miltenburg and technical coordination of Prof. Dr. C. Aulus Carciofi. It lasts two days, is annual and traditionally brings national and international speakers to talk about technical issues of the pet food industry. Focussed on the advances and emerging issues in the area is geared towards technical specialist.

It's held for 12 years, traditionally in Campinas. In 2011 started to be done linked to three other related events: Expo Pet Food (Pet Food TradeShow), SICOBESP's annual Workshop and FENAGRA FAIR.

Below there is information about the latest editions of the congress (2008 (VII edition), 2009 (VIII edition), 2010 (IX edition), 2011 (X edition), 2012 (XI edition), 2013 (XII edition), 2014 (XIII edition):

VI International Congress and XIII Symposium of Nutrtition of Dogs and Cats/CBNA - April 24-25, 2014 - Espaço Via Appia Valinhos - SP -Brazil.

Richard C Hill nutrition dogs cats

Fernanda Kroll

There is no doubt that this space inside the CBNA Pet Congress is an important tool for the development of domestic technology in the area, interaction between universities and the productive sector and improvement of quality products for consumers.

Students of Univ. Federal do Paraná were the group that brought more work for poster presentation.

Every year the group is present to Congress with a team that grows every edition.

During the coffee breaks, the audience visiting the Fair Expo Pet Food which was in its third edition in 2013.
Participants were doing intense networking, exchanging cards, advice, stories and impressions.

As the participants of the congress are the various technical areas: machinery, ingredients, processes, additives, packaging, storage, good manufacturing practices, quality, research and development and purchases, companies at the fair were all interesting.

It is the advantage of a relatively small fair, but that is very focused: it does not dilute its participants nor the resources of the exhibitors.
